The Conversation Reader shows all emails belonging to the same conversation, in chronological order. The currently selected message in Outlook is expanded (fully rendered) in the Conversation Reader and all other related messages are shown in summary or preview 'bubbles' which are expanded when clicked.
This is a great feature for quickly finding all messages related to any email, including your replies, even if they are located in different folders. It is also a great way to find all related emails in search results.
The Conversation Reader can be used ad-hoc anytime an email is selected in Outlook, or it can used as a replacement for the Outlook Reading Pane where it is embedded in an Outlook region (such as next to the email list). When embedded in an Outlook region, it automatically updates as you select different emails, just like the Outlook Reading Pane does.
The Conversation Reader has two modes: Compact and Normal. Compact mode is designed to work in narrow spaces. It only shows preview bubbles of all messages in chronological order for a given conversation. The Normal mode shows the preview bubbles and fully renders the current email in a user sizeable pane next to the preview bubbles. See Compact and Normal Modes for more information.
The number of messages included in each conversation is listed in the control panel at the bottom of the window, along with an embedded Tagger, mode toggle button, and refresh button. The header section of the Conversation Reader shows the subject of the selected conversation, the list of people involved in the conversation, and an expand/collapse button to show or hide the Tagger panel (to work better in short spaces).
Tip See Opening the Conversation Reader for examples of different ways to open the Conversation Reader, or embed it into Outlook. See Embedding Taglocity Features into Outlook for more information about sharing Outlook regions with other features.
Tip If you see red X icons in place of pictures in email, then you need to give Taglocity permission to download pictures from the Internet. This is controlled by an Outlook privacy setting which you can change. Jump to Conversation Reader Privacy for more information.
Note The bottom controls panel can be hidden (collapsed) by clicking the Hide button in the bottom panel. To show it again, click the Show button on the top panel.
