The Suggested Tags feature, available in the Professional Edition, saves time and improves consistency by automatically presenting likely tags for quick selection.

Taglocity Tagger with Suggestions:

Tip Hover your mouse over a suggested tag to see its properties.

To use Suggested Tags
1.Select an email in the Outlook view
2.If the Suggested Tags panel is not visible  If the Tagger is embedded in Outlook above or below the email list, then the Suggested Tags panel is always visible , then click the Suggested Tags button in the Tagger or the Tagger button on the Taglocity toolbar or ribbon tab
3.If you do not see the tags you want to use, click the Get More button (this gets the secondary set - see How it Works below)
4.Click on the tags you want to use (they will be copied into the Tagger)
5.If necessary, enter more tags (Tip)  Either type the tags into the Tagger separated by commas, or start typing a tag and then select it from the auto-complete list with the arrow keys, then press Tab to accept it. Or click the drop-down arrow in the Tagger and click the checkboxes next to the tags you want to assign. Note that if you type a tag into the Tagger that's not setup yet, then Taglocity will prompt you for confirmation to add a new tag to your collection. If you answer Yes, then the Tag Properties dialog box will open for you to change default settings if you like.
6.Press Enter to accept tags and run any tag actions (Tip)  If there are tag actions to run, the lightning bolt icon will appear in the Tagger. Click it to review or cancel the pending tag actions.
7.Click Close or press Ctrl + Enter
To make Suggested Tags always visible

2.Select Taglocity Tagger
3.In the sub-menu, choose either Top of Email List or Bottom of Email List

Tip With a single mouse click on the middle of the sizeable border , you can temporarily hide the embedded Tagger, and then bring it back with another click. You can also resize this border as desired.

How it Works

Taglocity generates a primary set of suggested tags each time you select a new email in Outlook. The primary set of tags are the 10 most common recently assigned tags, and the most common recently used tags for the current email sender/recipient.

To get a secondary set of suggested tags, click on the Get More button on the Suggested Tags panel. The secondary set of tags is derived by looking for tag names in the content of the selected email, and also any matching auto-assign tag criteria. The reason Taglocity doesn't include these in the primary set of suggestions is to keep the suggestions panel a little less cluttered and for better performance when scrolling through emails.

Note  Taglocity does not track the number of times you assign a tag, but rather looks at the tags saved on the items. In other words, in you have a tag called Archive with tag actions that moves the tagged item to a folder and then removes itself, then the Archive tag will not appear in Suggested Tags even if you actually used it more than any other tag. Remember, the reason you might want to have a tag with a Move to Folder action remove itself (with a Remove Tag(s) action) is so that you can manually move the email back into the Inbox. See Using Tag Actions for more information.
