Taglocity Professional Edition users can post micro-messages (a.k.a. status updates or "tweets" or micro-blogging) to Twitter or TeamFeed. Standard Edition users can post messages directly to TeamFeed.
Twitter Note Before you can post to Twitter, your sign in credentials must be correct entered Click the Taglocity button, choose Configuration, click on Settings, and scroll down to the Twitter Integration section. Enter your Twitter username and password in the appropriate fields, and choose OK. .
TeamFeed Note Before you can use the TeamFeed micro-messaging service you must be a member of at least one TeamFeed group and be signed in.
To post a micro-message
1. | Click on the Status button on the Taglocity toolbar or ribbon tab to open the message box |
2. | Enter your status/tweet text |
3. | Click on Twitter to post to Twitter, or choose a TeamFeed group name from the drop-list and click TeamFeed to post to TeamFeed |
Tip The message box has a counter display how many characters you have typed. It turns red after 140 characters which is the maximum for the Twitter service. TeamFeed has no practical limit, but typically micro-messages should be short and to the point.
