Followup TagAction
One of the TagActions that might be useful is to mark the email for followup in Outlook. This is more than just tag it with a "Followup" tag -- this is use the Outlook followup menus so that it shows up as flagged in various windows in Outlook.
Status: under reviewWe will look into this...thanks for the suggestion!

Merge Tag Option in Editor
When using the tag editor I have found duplicate terms I would like the ability to merge one term into another term for example two tags:
MVC and Model View Controller
It would be nice to have the option to merge MVC into Model View Controller without having to re-tag all the email.

Create a user forum to share best practices and problems
I am an active participant in many User Forums for my most important software. It lets me ask questions and glean best practices without having to go through the vendor. It expands the conversation and creates more customer loyalty
Status: plannedYes, I agree and a User Forum is planned and something we want to get up and running as soon as possible.
Just as some background to this, as explaination as to why we haven't just thrown up a quick phpBB2 traditional forum, is that we did run a Taglocity Group called 'Beta Forum' during our beta program, and it had over 500 users. What we found is that the Taglocity group worked pretty well but was unsuited for a really large public community, i.e. as a public forum - the group concept seemed to work best as a private discussion medium.
So what we are doing now is working on new Taglocity Group features to make a better public forum (let people be anonymous, easier posting, moderation, better tagging etc) and will use that as a way for the community to share ideas/best practices.
So a great suggestion and we do agree - Apologies for the wait, and we're pretty keen to roll out the new features soon too.

I want to 'disable' a tag.
I use tags for projects but once the project is over, I would like to 'diable' the tag so it's no longer suggested when tagging new items but is still available for searching and filtering.

Auto-assign tags if word in subject matches existing tag.
Title pretty much sums it; it would be nice if you could have an option to have a tag auto-assign if the text of an email subject matched a tag already in the user database.
Example: I have a tag for "Invoices" - receive an email called "Outstanding Invoices On Your Account" - when you select the e more

Allow customisation of toolbar (remove buttons etc.)
Users should be able to modify the Taglocity toolbar to remove unwanted/unused items. Twitter button is a separate suggestion already but other buttons should be removable and if a user doesn't have Windows Desktop Search, the ability to remove the quick search box would be great.

Add tag group or parent tag options when creating new tag
Typing a new tag into the tag bar gives you the option to save it as a new one, and the extra tag options (like colour and tag actions) is good, useful perhaps once in every 10 new tags.
What I would be useful EVERY time though would be the option to select where to put the tag. I have two groups more

Add multiple folder support for Tag Filter
Tag filter only returns items from the currently selected folder. I'd like it to return items from all sub-folders as well. I've got a substantial number of folders in my inbox that I previously moved items to. I'd like to use tag filter with inbox selected and be able to see messages from all of my more

Make it more GTD friendly, you are almost there.
Make it more GTD friendly, you are almost there. See netcentrics add-in
Would love to get more specifics on what you think we could do. Don't want to breech their copyrights or EULA so we haven't tried it yet. Please email us with your ideas to info at taglocity dot com.

Add "Apply Auto-Assign-Tag Rule to All Items in Inbox"
Similar to Outlook Rules, which allows you to apply a newly created rule to existing messages. Frequently I only discover the need for an "Auto Assign Tag" rule AFTER I see the message. I would like the create the Auto-Tag Rule, then "Apply" it to all mail.
Status: plannedWe have thought about this too so thanks for suggesting it....makes the decision easier when people take the time to suggest it. We will move this up the list.
In the meantime, you can accomplish a similar objective with the new tagging in search feature. Simply build a search based on the same criteria you use for the Auto Assign Tag, press Ctrl + A to select all results, then enter your tag(s) in the 'Type here to tag' box and press Enter.

Make some tags not apply to Tag Conversation
In some cases, having a tag get used in the "Tag Converastion" feature has unintended consequences. For example, I use a "Done" tag to move a message into my inbox archive. If I have tag conversation set, then this Done tag gets applied to every other message in that conversation. This leads to mes more
Status: startedThis feature is in development. Should add that the current release already includes a setting to make Sent Items exempt from Move to Folder actions.

open email from conversation reader in Outlook's reading pane
When using the conversation reader and I click on a previous email in the conversation, can I have it populate in Outlook's reading pane instead of opening the email. Or at least give the option?

Integration with MS OneNote?
I am increasingly using OneNote to create tasks (usually for myself) and currently have to open each task in OL to add tags (which are all too often the same default set).
Either (or both) the ability to set up a default tag set for all tasks received from OneNote, or the ability to associate tags more
Status: under reviewWe'll have to look into this - perhaps there is some way to tie this into our Auto Assign Tags feature. Thanks for the suggestion.

save tags
so i can restore them after i backup/format/install my OS/Outlook
There is a feature to support this called Roaming Configuration. You enable it on the Settings page in Configuration, then sign in with your free Taglocity account. A copy is saved online, then when you enable it on new computer and sign in, your tags and settings will be transferred.

Improve suggested tags based on first few letters
When I type in the Taglocity Tagger window a tag I want to attach to an email, it gives me a list of suggestions that are sorted alphabetically.
The order should default to order of usage, which would be much more helpful. I have a few tags ("Interbids" and "Internal" for example) where the second more -

Blackberry
I manage a lot of email in my blackberry. It would be great if there was some taglocity functionality available on the BB. Wouldn't have to be all of it but the ability to assign tags would be great.
Can I do it manually by just adding Tags: to bottom of email I send?
Status: plannedYes, you can manually add a tagline (i.e. Tags: tag1, tag2) to bottom of your email and Taglocity will parse it and assign the tags when email with the tagline arrives in any of your 'monitored' folders. The Inbox is the only 'monitored' folder by default but you can add more, such as your Sent Items to the 'monitored' list via Configuration/Settings.
We do plan to build a BB app but can't say when it will be delivered.

"Always Tag Conversation" feature
The Always tag conversation feature is a must have for effective GTD usage of Taglocity. It should be dead simple to implement and could help a lot of people.

option to hide groups in tag dropdown list
Having many many categories (let's say 100 or more) requires to group them.
Now, when you type the initial letters of the category in the tagger pane, a dropdown list appears: in case you have defined groups of tags, it suggests both the child tag and the full path tag (for example if you have defin moreStatus: under reviewOne of the main benefits of bundling tags is for quick selection of multiple tags in the auto-complete list.
Of course if you don't want the parent tags showing in the auto-complete list, you can always not bundle your tags. I'm curious to know why you say having lots of tags 'requires' grouping (bundling) them? I mean, if you don't want bundling for quick entry of multiple tags with the auto-complete list, is it to simplify the management of tags, or something else? Thanks!
