Taglocity General Discussion Forum

This release is our first unified Taglocity client that works across both Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007, either on Windows XP or Windows Vista.

This release effectively retires the Taglocity for Outlook 2007 Beta program, and I'd like to take this opportunity to thanks those that provided such valuable feedback. Please uninstall the OL2007 Beta 3 version before installing this release; and don't worry - all your settings will be retained and migrated to this version.

There are many bug fixes and feature improvements in this release, so here's a summary:

- We've worked hard on performance and stability as our number 1 priority. If you experience anything out of the ordinary then please do let us know.

- The look and feel of all features is now the same across the 2003 and 2007 versions and described in the help documentation.

- We improved the usability of many features, include the keyboard shortcuts and focus issues. For example, try clicking into a Tagcloud and pressing a key to find your tag.

- Added support for Windows Desktop Search 3.01, as well as continuing to support WDS v2.5 and 2.6.

- Storage of settings inside the Outlook store has been improved. Useful for those with multiple Outlooks on different computers.

- Tagline scanning, and the use of the 'Tags:' token has been improved.

- Improved installer - no more having to uninstall older versions, plus UAC support for Windows Vista.

- Enhanced Tag Search for easier use and access.

- Many more tweaks and tips that we plan to place on the forum in upcoming weeks.

For existing customers, you may install this update without uninstalling your existing version, and all settings are migrated forward.

Our main thrust now is continuing on to our version 2.0 release, where we plan to build on this release to offer features geared to those working in groups. We plan to open up this beta program soon, so please look out for that - there are many exciting things to yet reveal.
