Tags applying to entire thread?

Hi David.

Not sure if this is a feature or not, so I'll just ask....
If I apply tag(s) to an e-mail message, will these tags be applied to all the previously sent/received messages in the thread?

I'm also using another product, ClearContext, that does this with it's topics (sorry to bring that up), and was hoping that this apply within taglocity.

This requirement comes about because I may send and receive numerous emails on my BB or PocketPC during the day, and I will only tag a related email that is sent out on my desktop later, and would like to have the previously untagged messages tagged the same way.
I also need this for cases where my related messages were auto-tagged incorrectly and need to correct them.

Sorry for the long-winded message ;)

Hi David,

You can tag an entire conversation by using the right-mouse button on a tagname in either the TagCloud or QuickTag. If you are over a tag then you can choose the 'Tag/UnTag Conversation' menu option and it will go though and apply that tag across all those that match.

Is that ok?

PS It's ok to mention topics :-)

Looks good. My only problem is that conversations span data stores. I'll have to figure that one out.

Thanks!

Hi David,

That's good info for us to have, as we could tweak the feature to include other stores soon too. The local stores was just because there is that initial delay when first using the feature, and we wanted to make it faststarting. A better option would be to allow people to pick the stores and folders to go look into.

Thanks for the feedback.
