remember email address and related contact
Usually Taglocity is not able to find the correct contact to an email in the Taglocity pane.
It is possible to select the correct contact in the drop down list, but it seems, that this relation is not being saved.
When the email is re-selected the link to the correct address is lost again. Therefore my suggestion to keep this link to show the correct contact information when selecting an email.

Using Move To Folder with multiple tags
I have a large number of Outlook folders and i want to continue to use them for storage, so I love the "Move to Folder" option (which lets me tag emails and store them in one click). But then I can't take advantage of Taglocity's "multiple tags". So I'd like to be able to tag an item This, That, & TheOther, but only have it move to one of those folders. Perhaps if there was a keystroke command (say, hold down the Alt key while tagging) that would OVERRIDE the Move to Folder functionality, I could use that on the… more

hiding the taglocity tags in the email body
Would like to hide the taglocity tags in the email body or at least reduce the font size.
Let the user decide how to promote/ present taglocity

The Professional Edition allows users to control the text used in the Tagline which means you can remove the hyperlink to the Taglocity website. Also, the Professional Edition includes a setting to remove tagline text altogether and still allow public tags to travel.

Tag Conversation Shortcut Key
Hi,
To make the email processing more fluent (aka not touching the mouse) I think a Tag Conversation Shortcut Key to turn the feature on/off would be great!7 votes -
Alias
To assign to a category several keywords. For example, acronyms, synonyms, words in other languages, merge auto-imported categories into a single one, etc.
An additional advantage would be: Less categories.

option to hide groups in tag dropdown list
Having many many categories (let's say 100 or more) requires to group them.
Now, when you type the initial letters of the category in the tagger pane, a dropdown list appears: in case you have defined groups of tags, it suggests both the child tag and the full path tag (for example if you have define project\infrastructure, it suggests you both project and project/infrastructure).
Having many categories, in this way the dropdown list becomes very long (doubles the entry and more if the hierarchy has more levels), so a useful option would be to propose just the "leaf"/child tags.6 votesunder review ·AdminDave (Admin, Taglocity) responded
One of the main benefits of bundling tags is for quick selection of multiple tags in the auto-complete list.
Of course if you don’t want the parent tags showing in the auto-complete list, you can always not bundle your tags. I’m curious to know why you say having lots of tags ‘requires’ grouping (bundling) them? I mean, if you don’t want bundling for quick entry of multiple tags with the auto-complete list, is it to simplify the management of tags, or something else? Thanks!

Allow more advanced filtering from the outlook filter pane
From a new user who may not understand everything yet (so please correct me if I'm being dumb)... I would really like to see the filter pane improved to include:
1) Operations other than "AND": Presently the filter pane only allows "AND" type tag serches. I could really use a "NOT" (i.e. items which aren't tagged with any of the selected tags), and potentially also an "OR". The Taglocity filter window includes the "OR" option, but this window is a bit slow to be used all the time, and I haven't yet figured out how to restrict the search to… more

Thanks good feedback Richard. Currently we don’t offer those extra option on the Filter area, although that was mainly to conserve screen space. We’ll revisit that decision.
In the interim you can ‘hack’ the filter yourself, although it’s not ideal. In Outlook you can use the ‘View / Current View / Customize Current View…’ option. From there you can edit the ‘Filter’ portion to enter your own query, e.g. “urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office#Keywords” != ‘Support’ would select all message with a NOT on the support tag.
As for the search folders on the non-default store, that’s an Outlook restriction, but we are investigation ways around this.
Thanks for the feedback.

Allow actions when a new tag is created
As an editor, I manage a great many projects (30+), and need to be aware of hundreds of others. So I create a new tag AND a new task for each new project.
It would be great if, when a new tag is created, there was an option to have a new task (or contact) created with the same name.

Allow to mark Outlook mails read in the conversation reader
I use the conversation reader instead of Outlooks preview pane, because CR is better :)
But alas, the messages will not be mark read and I have to mark them by hand, which is a real bore :(6 votes -
what should be filled values in auto-assign tags
for example:
subject: LNU 3 sets MR shipping add
Field name: subject
comparison: contains
The key words are "LNU" and "MR".
what should I fill in the "value" field?6 votes -
Create a real conversation view like Gmails
I love the conversation view (it is why I found taglocity and the only part of the plugin I use) and would love this feature to be better integrated into Outlook. Would it be possible to replace the entire view (not just the preview pane) with Taglocity's conversation view to create a more Gmail like experience?

open link from conversation reader
When using conversation reader, i would like to follow a link without opening the message. Without this feature I must do twice a click to get this action

create bundle tags in the tagger/tag filter
Hi there: For me it would be very helpful being able to create a bundle tag directly in the tagger. I tag my mails by customer (top hierarchy) and then by the different projects (sub-hierarchy).
Each time there is a new project to tag I have to navigate to configuration and bundle the tags there.Suggestions:
- using a "+" between to tags in the tagger should create a new sub-hierarchy tag
- drag&drop functionality fur bundling should also be available in the tag filter6 votes -
New tag action - Print and/or Save Attachment
I know this can be done using VBA but I'm honestly not that slick and would prefer to keep the easy-to-use Tag interface. This way I can have an auto-assigned tag based on subject ("Weekly Report") and the attachment is automatically printed and saved to disk.

Taglocity for Windows Explorer
Would be great (& I think you could make quite a few sales!) if you could emulate the outlook-based Taglocity program to a windows explorer-based Tag program.
Utility would be awesome & current competitors in the PC world are weak and little more than half baked betas (Tag2Find, TaggedFrog, TaggTool, Tabbles).Marketing catch phrase could be something like, "pile, don't file" and you could initiate a whole new movement.

More functionality for maintenance of the tag tree
I have already about 200 tags (don't know if this is unusually high, but it is still growing!). It is a nightmare to maintain my tags. I couldn't find even a sorting or search, when I just want to change the settings on a specific tag. And reorganising a hierachical structure of hundreds of tags seems to be impossible.
Great tool, I can't live without it.
Thanks

Right click to sort: http://www.taglocity.com/help/taglocity-v3/index.html?sort_tags.html
Admittedly search is a little unintuitive, you have to click into the tree and then start typing.
We do have ideas to improve tag maintainability though. I use about 1500 tags but I don’t bother with much maintenance. I do bundle some common ones together but otherwise I just set properties on a per tag basis when I need to by right clicking on the tag in the Tagger. Hope this helps!

Provide a "filter only these tags" button
Taglocity currently returns all itmes that contain a tag. For example, if an item was tagged "Mailing List" "Vendor" and "Company", I would like to select "Vendor" and "Mailing List" and NOT see items that also have a tag of "Company".
This would be useful for users who have hierarchial groupings of tags or have systems were auto-tagging occurs. In these cases, one could easily have many tags applied to an item that are valie, but when searching, you may want ONLY items that have a particular set of tags.

Allow slashes in new tag names
Because Outlook categories don't allow commas, I frequently use slashes instead. For example, a tag with someone's name might be "Last / First". Yet Taglocity doesn't allow me to create a new tag with a slash in it.
It seems to me that Taglocity should allow the same characters in tags that Outlook allows in categories.
Curiously, Taglocity does NOT prevent me from importing pre-existing categories as tags, even when the category contains a slash character. Is this a bug? Will this cause problems for me at some point?

Conversation reader and deleted items
Conversation reader shows deleted items: I think it should not or at least it should be configurable
