Does Taglocity drop the cursor of a new mail message into the body of the message?  If so, is there a way to configure/change that?  I'm used to starting with the cursor in the TO: field and this is a tough habit for me to break.  :-)

Not intentionally. Let me take a look and see if we can stop that. I'll report back here.

In fact, the problem is a bit deeper than it seems...

When creating a new mail, you must tag it before writing any text, or all informations will be lost.

Hope this doesn't come ( one more time ) from my french localisation...If someone can confirm ?

Hmmmm.  I've actually run into this "Dude, where's my cursor" without really associating it with Taglocity.  I thought it was just a quirk of NOT using Word as my email editor anymore... In any event, yes, tis rather annoying.

Has anyone else seen Stephane's 'wiping text' bug. I am having trouble recreating it, and think it might be a non-EN-US locale related issue?

Nope, I haven't seen the text-wiping problem.

the cursor on new messages has returned to the "to" field however when replying, the cursor is now also in the to field instead  of the message body.

correction: cursor started going into the subject line for everything (new, reply, forward).  closing then reopening outlook returns the cursor to always going to the "to" field (includig for replies).  sorry, i can't repro what i did to make the cursor go back into the subject line.  (winXP Pro SP2, outlook 2003 SP2)
