Tips: AutoTag as a Spam Filter

One thing I am having some success in doing is setting up a single AutoTag that I tag with anything that is 'almost spam'.

The classifier in Taglocity is actually fairly complex, and rivals most spam catching products. The bayesian algorithm is 'chain based', while a lot of them rely on single words. Spammers are starting to get around this by putting 'good words' in emails, even though the phrases make no sense.

To do this I set up a tag called 'AlmostSpam' (for general noise emails that I don't tend to want to see explicitly) and start manually tagging content with it.

After a little while the AutoTag takes over and I either 'TagAction' it away to a folder (AlmostKeep) or just bin it.

Over the last couple of weeks my 'AlmostSpam' tag has caught things that the Outlook, Exchange and GMail filters have all let through.

Maybe give it a go?
