But then I can't take advantage of Taglocity's "multiple tags". So I'd like to be able to tag an item This, That, & TheOther, but only have it move to one of those folders. Perhaps if there was a keystroke command (say, hold down the Alt key while tagging) that would OVERRIDE the Move to Folder functionality, I could use that on the first two tags, and then tag+Move normally on the last one.

Simon Hall said:

I like this idea, although I think if the mail just moved to the folder associated with the last tag, that would work better for me. If you had auto assigned tags, I would move it to the last tag that wasn't auto assigned. I sometimes tag related mails with multiple tags and they can end up in completely different folders.

Simon Halltag:feedback.taglocity.com,2008-02-07:Event/113403912012-05-13T13:40:55-07:002012-05-13T13:40:55-07:00Tag Ordering
Jose Feghali suggested:
We are migrating a calendar into Outlook and assigning tags. However, using the "Categorize with Taglocity" option, the first clicked tag isn't necessarily the first one to appear in the tag list. We need to be sure to select the tag ordering since the first tag is the one that defines the color of the entry.
Is there any way in Tagocity to prioritize tag order?
Thanks
Jose Feghalitag:feedback.taglocity.com,2008-02-07:Event/111339572012-04-10T18:14:34-07:002012-04-10T18:14:34-07:00allow different tags to be set if mail is moved to different folders. This will allow remote management of email via the iphone/blackberry
Moses suggested:
Having different tags to be auto tagged to emails that are moved to a particular folder would allow for remote management of email via the iphone/blackberry. That would be quite useful since quite a few of us check and respond to email via blackberry or the iphone/ipad.
Mosestag:feedback.taglocity.com,2008-02-07:Event/110794222012-04-02T16:25:10-07:002012-04-02T16:25:10-07:00 setting to apply tag to an entire conversation by default [updated]
in my previous email management program (clear context), the default is to apply a category to the entire thread by default. having this as an option would reduce the time to deal with full threads.

Gordon Allan said:

I don't think you implemented this request. It should be dead simple to implement and could help a lot of people.

Gordon Allan said:

Not just for GTD - this is how gmail works. It's the only sensible default to have.
I *always* want a tag to apply to the whole conversation (provided it is not a tag that is designated as excluded from conversation tagging)

Case 1: New user (me) just migrated from folders to tags, ended up messing up thousands of mails in such a way that cannot be recovered. [I selected all in a folder, showing outlook 2010 conversation view, and applied the tag, then moved all mails to inbox. But only a single mail per conversation got tagged, the others are in limbo - no tag, no longer grouped in folder]

Related request: be able to select multiple mails (or select all) in a folder, and check the 'always tag conversation' box to apply to the conversations of all selected mails.

As taglocity is a client application not a server application - does each users taglocity settings interfere with how the mailbox processes the email?
Is it the settings on the persons account which recieves the actual email first that drives the tagging behaviour?
Ilantag:feedback.taglocity.com,2008-02-07:Event/109237172012-03-09T01:59:31-08:002012-03-09T01:59:31-08:00make the "suggested tags" field update dynamically
Johnny Vest-Nielsen suggested:
It would be very helpful if the suggested tags field only showed tags not already applied to the email. I.e. if I apply the tag "Status" to an email, then it should disappear from the suggestions, since it doesn't make sense to apply the same tag twice.
Also, as others have already proposed, it would be great if the tag suggestions changed dynamically, based on related tags already applied to the email.
Johnny Vest-Nielsentag:feedback.taglocity.com,2008-02-07:Event/107857322012-02-17T15:34:02-08:002012-02-17T15:34:02-08:00when filtering, show number of items in the status bar
Anonymous suggested:
As soon as I filter by tags, I see "filter applies" in the status bar - replacing the number of items in the folder. It's tedious to have to go into Outlook's category editor and remove the color every time I want to create a new tag. What I would be useful EVERY time though would be the option to select where to put the tag. I have two groups 'personal' and 'work' (shared with colleagues). Creating a tag by default just throws it at the end of the 'personal' group list. 95% of my new tags though relate to work stuff, so every new tag I have to remember to go back into the tag options and reposition the tag as a project or whatever in the 'work' group, so it's shared with my colleagues under the right category.
This would be much easier if we could do this during creation as an extra option. This could either be:
1. A "browse" button to allow you to drag and drop in the list (like when you create a new folder in Outlook),
2. OR it could be a simple box that you type in the group or tag (with autocomplete) that you want it to be a child tag of.
This would be my No1 improvement to taglocity right now, which by the way is awesome - my No2 would be to spread it across everything in my computer rather than just Outlook stuff!
Thank you for considering this idea.

I do not want to tag the entire conversation, just the original email.
LeeBeeLAtag:feedback.taglocity.com,2008-02-07:Event/74177392011-05-11T06:57:12-07:002011-05-11T06:57:12-07:00Auto update tag cloud in tag filter
Tabul Cain suggested:
It would be really nice if the tag cloud in the tag filters updates itself in realtime when applying the filter. What I mean is that the tag cloud only shows the tags that are used in the results.
For instance when I select the tag "Projects" I would only like to see the tags in use for the messages that also have the projects tag.
Tabul Caintag:feedback.taglocity.com,2008-02-07:Event/73989272011-05-10T13:36:15-07:002011-05-10T13:36:15-07:00Taglocity is dead? A tag action, or reserved tag would be awesome!
bridgkicktag:feedback.taglocity.com,2008-02-07:Event/65700092011-04-07T13:08:01-07:002011-04-07T13:08:01-07:00Taglocity is dead? Would it be possible to replace the entire view (not just the preview pane) with Taglocity's conversation view to create a more Gmail like experience?

Mahomed Hussein said:

Get Outlook 2010.
