Using Move To Folder with multiple tags [updated]

I have a large number of Outlook folders and i want to continue to use them for storage, so I love the "Move to Folder" option (which lets me tag emails and store them in one click). But then I can't take advantage of Taglocity's "multiple tags". So I'd like to be able to tag an item This, That, & TheOther, but only have it move to one of those folders. Perhaps if there was a keystroke command (say, hold down the Alt key while tagging) that would OVERRIDE the Move to Folder functionality, I could use that on the first two tags, and then tag+Move normally on the last one.

If you had auto assigned tags, I would move it to the last tag that wasn't auto assigned. I sometimes tag related mails with multiple tags and they can end up in completely different folders.

allow different tags to be set if mail is moved to different folders. This will allow remote management of email via the iphone/blackberry

in my previous email management program (clear context), the default is to apply a category to the entire thread by default. having this as an option would reduce the time to deal with full threads.

The Always tag conversation feature is a must have for effective GTD usage of Taglocity. It should be dead simple to implement and could help a lot of people.

Case 1: New user (me) just migrated from folders to tags, ended up messing up thousands of mails in such a way that cannot be recovered. [I selected all in a folder, showing outlook 2010 conversation view, and applied the tag, then moved all mails to inbox. But only a single mail per conversation got tagged, the others are in limbo - no tag, no longer grouped in folder]

Related request: be able to select multiple mails (or select all) in a folder, and check the 'always tag conversation' box to apply to the conversations of all selected mails.

What's going on with this plugin?

As taglocity is a client application not a server application - does each users taglocity settings interfere with how the mailbox processes the email? Is it the settings on the persons account which recieves the actual email first that drives the tagging behaviour?

It would be very helpful if the suggested tags field only showed tags not already applied to the email. I.e. if I apply the tag "Status" to an email, then it should disappear from the suggestions, since it doesn't make sense to apply the same tag twice. Also, as others have already proposed, it would be great if the tag suggestions changed dynamically, based on related tags already applied to the email.

New tags are automatically assigned a color (green, in my case.) It's tedious to have to go into Outlook's category editor and remove the color every time I want to create a new tag. I would not mind being unable to edit tag color if only the default color was "none"! As it is, it feels like an annoyance inserted to make the free version less user-friendly.

No updates or news since sept/2010. You guys quit the development of the plugin? If so, why not opening it to the community so that it can eventually be developed by some good souls? That way I won't need to uninstall it and lose my money...

Typing a new tag into the tag bar gives you the option to save it as a new one, and the extra tag options (like colour and tag actions) is good, useful perhaps once in every 10 new tags. What I would be useful EVERY time though would be the option to select where to put the tag. I have two groups 'personal' and 'work' (shared with colleagues). Creating a tag by default just throws it at the end of the 'personal' group list. 95% of my new tags though relate to work stuff, so every new tag I have to remember to go back into the tag options and reposition the tag as a project or whatever in the 'work' group, so it's shared with my colleagues under the right category. This would be much easier if we could do this during creation as an extra option. This could either be: 1. A "browse" button to allow you to drag and drop in the list (like when you create a new folder in Outlook), 2. OR it could be a simple box that you type in the group or tag (with autocomplete) that you want it to be a child tag of. This would be my No1 improvement to taglocity right now, which by the way is awesome - my No2 would be to spread it across everything in my computer rather than just Outlook stuff! Thank you for considering this idea.

I've never actually seen the Tag Filter work, but I only tag email messages, and all the messages I tag are moved to a folder in a PST (as a result of the tagging). When I go to that folder and try to use the Tag Filter, nothing happens to the list of messages. In all honesty, I don't know why my Tag Filter doesn't work ... using a PST is the only thing atypical about my scenario I can think of (Outlook 2007, Exchange back end, corp environment). Everything else about Taglocity seems to work as expected, but I'm sure I'm not using everything it can do.

In OL 2010, you can right click a email and then add the category. i suggest to add the tagger menue to the right click menu as well. ie. to have the tagger menu to replace the OL category menu, because tagger can show the tags in hierarchy and save the movement of the mouse.

I use tags for actions, such as my tag "tasks" for setting up an appointment in my calendar - which nicely attaches the email i ve received to the calendar entry. However once the action - in this case setting up the appointment - is completed I would like the "tasks" tag ot auto delete. I think this is similar ot the "active" tag in V3 - but as far as I can see, I can't do this for any of my own tags

Getting rid of/hiding the numbers would help, and being able to create multiple tag bars would also be great - I could create multiple bars that support my various function/content area categories, etc.

One of the TagActions that might be useful is to mark the email for followup in Outlook. This is more than just tag it with a "Followup" tag -- this is use the Outlook followup menus so that it shows up as flagged in various windows in Outlook.

Tag filter only returns items from the currently selected folder. I'd like it to return items from all sub-folders as well. I've got a substantial number of folders in my inbox that I previously moved items to. I'd like to use tag filter with inbox selected and be able to see messages from all of my pre-sorted folders

I also tag my calendar items to help me keep track of time spent on projects and other activities. It would be REALLY helpful if I could have the taglocity tagger display on my calendar pane also.

I love the conversation view (it is why I found taglocity and the only part of the plugin I use) and would love this feature to be better integrated into Outlook. Would it be possible to replace the entire view (not just the preview pane) with Taglocity's conversation view to create a more Gmail like experience?
